The Basics: Rationalism

Economic theory should be approached from a perspective of rationalism. A society may choose to seek moral or social objectives, and economic rationalism should not stand in the way of that. Those social and moral policies should, however, be added to a rational foundation. If the foundation is not sound, even the most worthy and well-formed social policy would be liable to dysfunction.

Seeking the ideal rational economic foundation is the objective of this blog. Moral and social policy is left as an exercise for the reader.
